Don McGregor’s 1936 Ford Coupe

Don McGregor of Victoria owned this radically built ’36 coupe at one stage.

The five window coupe body was stripped of its factory fenders, and fitted with ’48 Ford guards on the front, and ’40 Ford front guards on the rear for an altered body line. A chrome front trim piece from an unknown car was added to the front to form the grille opening.

It was often run without a hood, the twin-carb flathead Ford V8 visible in the engine bay.

The rear of the car had a large pinstripe artwork adoring the bootlid as well as striping around the rear window edge and a narrow round-tube nerf bar.

Don only owned the car for a brief period, as the engine blew up shortly after acquiring it. His father forced him to sell it. [1]

The car passed hands a few times, but the information is so far unknown.
