Dennis Walford of New South Wales, owned and raced this Ford Model T ‘bucket’ nicknamed ‘Tee for Two.
The T-bucket was black with a quick pleated trim job in a cream colour for the small interior. A polished roll bar sat behind the back of the body.
The chassis was modified to include a ‘suicide’ front end and had a lot of polished running gear components, including front axle, front spring, steering linkages and hairpins.
It was powered by a Ford Y-block initially running a twin-2bbl carburettor set up and headers collecting into larger single exhaust tubes on both sides, painted white.
Later images show an overhaul including a triple-carb set up, finned valve covers and polished headers. Finned drum brakes were also installed in the front.
The car was painted a heavily-flaked chartreuse colour sometime after 1965 and the top of the bucket body also received a trimmed padding. The windshield was fitted with long bracing and a chrome grille surround and mesh replaced the original black unit.
